Julia Jekli, APRN
Julia Jekli is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing with Honors, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. She worked at Rush University Medical Center’s inpatient orthopedic unit in Chicago as a registered nurse for six years. Over the years, she has cared for patients after hip, knee and shoulder replacements, revisions, peri- acetabular osteotomies, spinal procedures and bone and soft tissue tumor procedures. S he served 4 years on Rush’s Orthopedic Leadership Unit Advisory Committee. As an elected member on this committee, she assisted in developing protocols and processes to provide high-quality patient care based on the most up-to-date evidence based practices.
In 2020, she obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rush University’s Adult Gerontology Primary Care Program, which was ranked #1 according to US News & World Report for that year. She is also a member of the National Orthopedic Nurse’s Association and obtained her First Assist Certificate through the National Institute of First Assisting.
