Dr. Joseph Ornelas is the Director of Research at the American Hip Institute & Orthopedic Specialists. Experienced in leading teams of multi-disciplinary stakeholders in analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing improvements, Dr. Ornelas specializes in the implantation of evidence-based practices in healthcare settings, while increasing the capacity for performance improvement among healthcare providers. Dr. Ornelas holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a DC from the National University of Health Sciences, MS in Health Systems Management from Rush University and an MA in Public Policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago. He is board certified in healthcare management as a fellow (FACHE) with the American College of Healthcare Executives and actively serves as adjunct faculty at Rush University’s Department of Health Systems Management.
