Darcy SteelDarcy Steel, APRN

Darcy Steel has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 6 years and sees patients full-time at American Hip Institute. "As a family nurse practitioner I have been trained to treat the whole family, from infancy to the elderly. That means I can assess, diagnose and treat the majority of conditions that present to the clinic. I work closely with our doctors to provide an excellent team approach to your care." Darcy began her nursing career 19 years ago in hospitals focusing on labor and delivery including operating room. Darcy was a working mom of two while she continued her education and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College and then her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. She is double board certified with American Nurses Credentialing Center in Family Nurse Practitioner and Inpatient Obstetrics. She worked for several years as a Family Nurse Practitioner in women’s health and medical weight loss prior to transitioning to orthopedics.

She is also a patient of Dr. Domb. After seeing three previous doctors without help, she was referred to Dr. Domb. After years of struggling with pain, Dr. Domb was able to diagnose and treat her hips as well as allow her to return to an active, pain-free lifestyle. Her personal experience helps her better understand and empathize with patients' condition and challenges.
